They just lift and link at Boston.com…

Looks like this time it was a short-lived instance, though.

They did it once before, and the link stayed up on their front page for about three days. It gave the hits counter a significant bump!

    That is pretty damn cool!

But I’ll still take a WoMag bloglog anyday!

Looking back at my hits counter spikes, and ranking them in order of magnitude from lowest to highest, there’s the spike from being mentioned by Dianne Williamson in a column last year, there’s the spikes from early inclusions in WoMag’s bloglog, there’s the big spike from a link on the front page of Boston.com about four months ago, and then the biggest spike so far was on the 9th when I got into the WoMag Bloglog again.

No spikes today, though… the link on Boston.com didn’t last long enough to do much of anything.

Well you earned street cred on a day that we’re celebrating the soon to be released Biggie Smalls biopic, that HAS to be worth something.

Wouldn’t that be cyber street-cred? Does that really count?

Anyway, did you read the article (by a Mr. Mahan) on IndyMedia (via In City Times)? It’s rare that I actually learn new details about Worcester from a local paper. Usually I get new omissions.

nice PR Jeff..I had a picture of the official start of the 2007 Jerry Garcia Memorial River Run & Walk on the front page of the Boston Globe and http://www.boston.com last year

I got hate mail from runners who thought it was blasphemy to be name a running race aftah a guy who died of an heroin overdose and who’s favorite drink was chocolate milk..regardless of Jerry’s human weaknesses he was a very peaceful cat:>) I laughed cause I sell out every year and this year in 2 weeks..been a Dead fan since my first show in 1980 in Phoenix at Compton Terrace and I know Jerry is up above smilin”

We’ve been Boston.com-ed 5 times so far—interesting enough, like Jeff, the most recent one (last night) didn’t seem to give us as big a spike as other mentions, including those from universalhub.com

But, most interestingly, wormtowntaxi remains one of our biggest referrers over the course of the past year. Thanks Jeff!
