2nd Rushton ad on youtube

Here’s advertisement #2 from the Rushton for Mayor campaign. I’m not finding anything on my own, does anyone out there know if it’s only Rick using youtube to get spots out?

Rick Rushton appears to be the only one using “worcester” as tag, so if there are any other candidates who’ve posted a campaign ad, they haven’t figured out what a “tag” is yet.

Get a load of the hand gesture he makes in front of Gateway Park. Heh. An SNL ad spoof could hardly do it better. If he keeps that up, Dianne Williamson will start calling him the “dan aykroyd” of homegrown campaign ads, instead of “the mama’s boy”.

These ads are definitely interesting, and you can see where rushton’s going with this….but he’s NOT out in the neighborhoods kncoking doors like perotto, and he pulled 60% blanks in his own district last election cycle…it’ll be interesting to see if a tv-only (for the most part) campaign for a candidate with poor name recognition with super-voters is more effective than a grassroots campaign for a candidate who actually made the jump from district to city-wide councilor, in an election that is expected to produce a small turn-out.
