ATHF attacks Boston!
“It’s a hoax — and it’s not funny,” Gov. Deval Patrick said.
Actually, I beg to differ, guvna.
You’ll have to work real hard to get anything more humorous to happen on your watch. Good luck with that.
And thanks for keeping me safe from mooninites!
Statement from Turner Broadcasting
The ”packages” in question are magnetic lights that pose no danger. They are part of an outdoor marketing campaign in 10 cities in support of Adult Swim’s animated television show Aqua Teen Hunger Force. They have been in place for two to three weeks in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Austin, San Francisco, and Philadelphia. Parent company Turner Broadcasting is in contact with local and federal law enforcement on the exact locations of the billboards. We regret that they were mistakenly thought to pose any danger.Shirley Powell

And just in case the kiddies were paying attention thebostonchannel.com has taken it upon themselves to protect us all from the cartoon LEDs evil LED finger, with a blur. Good to see the spirit of Cromwell lives on.

You’re probably one of those people who will whine and cry about the lack of 20 grand for books in an elementary school or 60 grand for a school district to get new athletic equipment, but when the state blows hundreds of thousands on a sick joke you find it hilarious. What a chump.
A sick joke? What part of this are you missing?
It was an advertising campaign covering 10 cities, hung over two weeks ago. Hundreds of thousands were wasted because of an LED cartoon character that nobody bothered to notice. How do New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, Portland, Austin, San Francisco and Philadelphia manage to survive such a blatant disregard for human life? They have a sense of humor.
This event just humiliated the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
But I’m glad to see you’re reading. Now I know you love me!
Puritans… can’t live with them, can’t give them the LED finger.
