digg this, Mihos

As of this writing Christy Mihos is on the front page of digg.com for his little cartoon advertisement. With over 815 digg’s so far one could easily make a case for this being the most viewed ad spot of the election cycle. Of-course there is little 14 year old kids from Idaho can do for Christys chances of winning the governors race, but his name just went national via one of the most heavily trafficked sites on the web.

Here’s the link to the digg page with all sorts of meaningless commentary.

And if you haven’t see it yet, here’s the ad getting the attention.

edit: Don’t know how I missed it, but the Mihos spot was also covered last week on MetaFilter.

I saw this ad last week and I was actually surprised you hadn’t picked up on it. I do have to say that after all that waiting, this post is a HUGE disappointment, is this really all you could do with this? Maybe my expectations are getting too high, or maybe I should just get a life? Would you mind adding some commas and apostrophes in there for me too?

The post isn’t about the ad, which is a bit of a bore. It’s about the ad being on digg.com. Don’t think you could have seen the ad on digg a week ago since it was only posted there two days ago.

Feel free to edit for me, if you have that little to do with your time.

Unfortunately work is slow today and I do have that much time on my hands, but I guess I’ll just go back to my celebrity cyber-stalking.

Are you drinking? Thus far you have made zero sense.

Actually I’ve been sober for over a month now, which I think is the problem. But not to worry, I’m going to Vegas on Saturday so this will be remedied.

Brendan, how about talking about WoMag’s recent editorial slamming the “inefficiency” of EMS response in the city? I’m interested that no one has mentioned the fact that both the WFD and WPD receive a defibrillator stipend, while only one of these departments carries them in their vehicles and actively uses them according to local protocols. Why can’t both departments carry and use them if both are receiving the stipend?

Well, now The Research Bureau has categorically informed me that the PD does NOT receive the stipend. So that may answer that.

    Dear Radiohead,

digg.com. Never heard of it. Tried to get it, but system hung. I’m just a dial-up kind of guy.

I got a marketing idea for you: Day of the Veil. Get a bunch of people to gather at City Hall wearing veils in solidarity with are middle eastern brothers and sisters.

If there are any of them left after we’re done in Iraq.
