Presidential candidates arrested
Presidential candidates Michael Badnarik (Libertarian) and David Cobb (Green Party) were arrested while attempting to serve an Order to Show Cause to the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). Earlier in the day Libertarian party members were stopped from entering the Washington headquarters of the CPD with the same papers, by CPD security officers.
From the AP:
Just as the debate began, two third-party presidential candidates purposely crossed a police barricade and were arrested. Green Party presidential candidate David Cobb and Libertarian Party candidate Michael Badnarik were protesting their exclusion from the debate.
Cobb’s message: “To expose the undemocratic nature of these debate, this election and our government. These are not debates, these are infomercials.”
I’m sure this will go mostly unnoticed in the wake of last nights debate, as we rejoice in our presidents ability to form a mostly complete sentence.
